Johnny the escape goat 🐐 No pun intended; this Johnny the escape goat 🐐

No pun intended; this goat is an escape artist! And just look at how pleased he is with himself...

I ALWAYS kid my does in March, it's the natural time of year, the weather is less extreme, blah, blah, blah. Well, Johnny had other plans (insert eye roll here). Yes, there were 3 fences between him and the does. Yes, after his first offense(unsuccessful), we shut the does in their very secure lotted barn area. Yes, after his second offense (again, unsuccessful), we locked him in a stall. Tin walls on 3 sides, small gauge wire on the remaining side, gate locked TIGHT. This little turkey head butted the tin until he broke free and got to the ladies, successfully completing his mission. Keep in mind this all happened in a span of two days and he made sure to break out of the stall at night while we were sleeping. No, I did not want January goat babies. No, I didn't plan to use Johnny at all this breeding season! Thankfully, I am a big fan of always looking for the silver lining and in this instance, it's going to be that I'm dealing with goats kidding in the middle of winter while I'm 9 months pregnant rather than having a newborn of my own to tend to as well, so there's that. Secondly, the first fresh milk of the season is always a welcome sight, it will just come a little earlier this year.

Side note- if you're looking for a gorgeous Nubian buck from good bloodlines, we've got one available. Not even kidding.

This exfoliating soap is perfect for this time of year as dry skin season creeps up on us.

I can tell you personally this soap is a lifesaver! It was literally my best friend when I recently had a severe reaction to poison ivy. I'm thankful for all of these herbal remedies in my back pocket, my skin is healing quickly and I'm finally feeling like myself again ✨Thank you all for the well wishes and kind words!
